Born Azubuike Michael Egwu on February 1, 1985, in Ozubulu, Ekwusigo LGA, Anambra State, Nigeria, he later adopted the name Zubby Michael for his professional career. He spent his formative years in Adamawa State, Nigeria, where he attended primary and secondary school. After completing his education, he returned to Onitsha to work as an apprentice before establishing his own business. He eventually went on to attend Nnamdi Azikwe University, Awka, Anambra State, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication.
Zubby Michael’s passion for acting began at a young age, and at the age of 8, he took his first steps into the industry. However, it was after completing his degree and returning to Yola, Adamawa State, that he landed his breakthrough role in the movie “Missing Rib.” This marked the beginning of his successful journey in Nollywood.
