The Inspiring Journey of Chidi Ajaere
In 1998, Mr Edwin Ajaere had a transformative vision to revolutionise bus services in Nigerian cities. With this vision in mind, he founded God is Good Motors, now known as the GIG Group. Tragically, in 2009, Edwin Ajaere was kidnapped and killed, leaving his 21-year-old son, Chidi Ajaere, to take the reins of the company.
Under the brilliant leadership of Chidi Ajaere, the GIG Group has evolved into a technologically advanced logistics company and has also expanded its presence in various sectors of the Nigerian economy. Chidi’s remarkable achievements and contributions to transforming logistics in Nigeria are truly commendable.
Chidi’s parents would surely be proud of the achievements of their son. His aspiration to establish the GIG Group as one of the top-ranking conglomerates in Nigeria within a decade demonstrates his unwavering dedication. Moreover, the company aims to act as a catalyst for progress across all aspects of life.
Chidi Ajaere has successfully expanded the horizons of the GIG Group, leading to the birth of several subsidiary companies. These include GIG Logistics, which offers delivery services to the US, UK, China, and West Africa. Additionally, there are GIG Motors, Stellas Banking and Finance, Richmondhill Real Estate and Property, Ziuss Energy, Oil & Gas, and GIG Aviation, the latest addition to the group following the purchase of two Atr72 cargo aircraft for logistics services.
The GIG Group, with its diverse subsidiaries, now employs over 5000 people. Chidi Ajaere’s remarkable accomplishments and commitment to excellence have undoubtedly propelled the GIG Group to great heights, transforming the logistics landscape in Nigeria.
