Sagbama PDP Chairmanship Candidate, Mrs Alice Tangi Inaugurates Campaign Council

The Chairmanship Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Hon. (Mrs) Alice Tangi Allen, has inaugurated the Party Local Government Campaign Council to officially kick-start campaigns for the forthcoming council elections.

The 16-Members Local Government Campaign Council, was inaugurated by the party chairmanship candidate at the state party secretariat to officially kick-start campaigns in the various wards and communities across the local government area.

The Campaign Council comprised of: Barr Pereokosifa Okoro as Director General, Chief Victor Okubonanabo as Director of Mobilization, Mr Preye Bagou as Director of Media & Publicity, Mr Mandy Omiemu as Secretary of Campaign, Mr Biefa Eyenimi, Mr Akpane Jacob, Mrs Anne Siekpere, Dr. Luke Godday, Mr Napoleon Akoso, Mr Pamo Kakanda, Mr Kibai Miriki, Mr Robert Nanakumo, Mr Tobi Ebikidimie, Mr Banabas Edure, Mr Akpoebi Biowei and Mrs Lilian Okus as members.

In his remarks, PDP Vice Chairman in Bayelsa West, Hon. Michael Magbisa, thanked members of the campaign council for availing themselves and swinging into action despite the short notice of nomination/appointment to carry out the party campaigns in the local government area.

While making clarification on the method of selection of members of the campaign council, Hon. Magbisa stated that members were carefully selected from various wards across the local government area to constitute the campaign council on the basis of merit and competence.

“For more effective grassroot based campaigns to ensure the landslide victory of our party chairmanship and councilorship candidates in the election, leaders and stakeholders of the party in every ward should constitute ward campaign council to engage the electorates,” he added.

Hon. Magbisa charged members of the campaign council to work together collectively including leaders and stakeholders of the party in the various wards to ensure that the party chairmanship and councilorship candidates becomes victorious on the 6th of April, 2024.

“PDP as a political party that solely depends on the support and votes of the electorates to attain victory in every election, our campaigns will be grassroot-based for one-on-one engagement of the electorates to ensure our party candidates landslide victory in the election,” he added.

In her remarks, the Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. (Mrs) Alice Tangi Allen thanked the people’s Governor, Senator Douye Diri and his Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo for the opportunity to render selfless services to the people, and the prosperity government by extension.

While thanking party stakeholders for the opportunity to serve, Mrs Alice assured members of the campaign council of her unrelenting commitment and support in carrying out rigorous grassroot based campaigns to ensure the party candidates victory in the election.

Mrs Alice used the medium to appeal to other aspirants, including party leaders and stakeholders who might be aggrieved to let go of whatever misunderstanding that might have arised during the party primaries, stressing that she is ready to work with everybody, as one united party.

“When elected by the special grace of God, my administration will be an all-inclusive government that will be primarily geared towards improving the welfare of our people, through education, agriculture, healthcare, skill acquisition programs etc, working collaboratively with the prosperity government,” she added.
