Meet Aliyu Abdullahi, popularly known as Alhaji Obobo, the legendary figure touring the world on his bicycle.
Obobo is a native of Plateau State who traveled from Nigeria to Saudi Arabia in the year 2022. He also toured five states in Nigeria from 2023 to 2024, including journeys from Jos to Lagos and Jos to Yobe. Additionally, on April 24, 2024, Obobo visited Daura, Katsina State, and announced his intention to head to Sokoto to meet the Sultan.
Upon his return to Saudi Arabia, an Egyptian offered to buy the bicycle for ₦40,000,000, but Alhaji Obobo declined the proposal, stating that he plans to donate the bike to the National Museum after completing his tour.
Alhaji Obobo has set a target to tour Dubai on his bicycle by the end of the year 2025.
This brave man deserves recognition by the Guinness Book of World Records due to the evidence of his tour.
