I left home early because Ryo decided to take me to school and he leaves home early so as not to bump into Dad. Ryo has a Vesper he got months ago through the help from Mom.
“Hey! We are here” Ryo said bringing my mind back to reality.
‘Oh yeah thanks big bro’ I said as I stepped down from the car.
‘Hey be a good girl in school and avoid those worthless guys who thinks they can use money to get everything okay? Ryo said so sweetly like the brother I’d longed to have.
‘Look who is talking? As if you are any different. Anyway got it, bye” I said running off as I spotted Emily.
‘Who is that hottie that just dropped you off?’ Emily asked as soon as I got to her. I turned to look at Ryo who smiled and then drove off.
‘That’s my big brother’. I replied as she gave me the “are you sure” kind of look.
We both walked into the school premises while talking about the weekend’s activities. Getting to class, I felt a need to change my sit.
‘Emily! Can I sit with you?’
‘Yes sure!’ she said as I got up, packed my books and walked to where she was sitting.
‘Jai, could you please go sit on Star’s sitting position please?’ Emily asked her seat partner.
He nodded, stood up and left while I sat down after mouthing a thank you to Emily. I decided not to let anyone intimidate me or be afraid of anyone in school again. I wanted to stand up for myself and I won’t let my crushing on Jason get in my way. At first I wouldn’t have thought I could close my mind against Jason but while in church yesterday, I could not believe that as much as I wanted to see Jason, I didn’t look at him twice. I focused on the sermon.
Ella walked into the class and came directly to me.
‘Wow! Poor Star has improved herself just to get the attention of the most handsome guy in school’. She said mockingly.
‘At least I know what I want and I’m going for it unlike someone who is hiding and never gets noticed’. I fired back with a smirk on my face.
‘You will never get him, no matter what you wear it will always be rags’. She flared up in anger and then left but I just smiled.
‘That was amazing Star!’ Emily said while smiling at me and just then we heard a loud shout from the back sit.
“Oh my goodness! It’s Jason! Hope he wasn’t around when we had that small talk with Ella?” I asked myself
