FAZ COACH DEVELOPMENT CORNER: Wada’s CAF Pro Journey Continues

Zambian coach Wedson ‘Wada’ Nyirenda who is currently undergoing the CAF Pro License Coaching Course in Morocco has wound up the third module at the Royal Morocco Football Federation Technical Centre.

Wada has been sponsored by the Football Association of Zambia on account of being one of the most prospective local coaches that should be invested in as part of building local capacity.

The former Chipolopolo trainer is currently head coach of super league side Zanaco where he previously won multiple titles.

Nyirenda also left a stamp of silverware during his rein as Zesco United gaffer.

Wada looks to join an elite club of continental heavies with a CAF Pro license like Walid Regragui, Pitso Mosimane, Aliou Cisse and Florent Ibenge.

In the level the candidates were running through a leadership on football course that looks at coaches philosophy and belief. Other components cover technical and tactical astuteness and communications management.

Copper Queens coach Bruce Mwape is earmarked to be the second candidate in the next intake as part of constant empowerment of local coaches.

Admission to the CAF Pro license is restricted to coaches that have drilled national teams before with also the requirement for a CAF A license among the entry requirements.
