40 Malawians Arrested For Abandoning Israeli Farms To Look For Jobs In Town

40 Malawians have been arrested in Israel for leaving designated farm work stations to look for jobs in town. They had reportedly abandoned their farm jobs to work at a bakery east of Tel Aviv.

The Malawian government has advised its citizens to follow employment terms and avoid illegal activities. Last year, 221 Malawians departed for Israel to work as farm laborers in a labor export deal signed between the two countries.
