What happened to being one of the dominant force in African Football?

Since 1996 Zambia National Team lost the powerhouse touch and only emerged once in 2012 after lifting the Afcon. From 2012 until now, The Zambia National Team has been a shadow of itself..

A Rich Afcon Record in the early 70’s, 80’s and 90’s

⚽ 1974 AFCON (Egypt)
– Zambia reached the Afcon Final, played “Zaire” now Congo DR in a historical final that was played Twice.
– Zambia and Zaire played out to a 2-2 draw in the first match and lost 2-0 in the Afcon Replay.
– Zambia settled for it’s first Afcon Medal (Silver ?)

⚽ 1982 AFCON (Libya)
– With a very Talented squad the Copper Bullets was a marvel to watch at the Libya 1982. Reached the semi Finals but unfortunately lost and played a 3rd and 4th play off against Algeria.
– The Copper Bullets eventually won their second Afcon Medal after beating Algeria and won (Bronze ?)

⚽ 1990 AFCON (Algeria)
– One of the most Dominant Squad, the 1990 generation. With all the stars and talent, Zambia still fail shot of luck after reaching the Semi Finals..
– They lost the Semi Finals and settled for a 3rd and 4th playoff eventually defeating Senegal and won it’s third Afcon Medal (Bronze ?)

⚽ 1994 AFCON (Tunisia)
– A new generation of Zambian Players after the Unfortunate Gabon Disaster. Against all odds the Copper Bullets defeated every nation on their way to the final and met the Dominant force at a Time! The Super Eagles of Nigeria.
– This is one of the most interesting finals in history. Zambia scoring in the first 3 minutes against Nigeria but later on going to lose 2-1 at the end of the match.
– The Copper Bullets won their 4th Afcon Medal (Silver ?)

⚽ 1996 AFCON (South Africa)
– The Kalusha led Chipolopolo side was very talented, at the time Zambia had started producing quality players who were being taken to Europe to play professional football.
– This Zambian squad also had the likes of Elijah Litana at the time one of the most Expensive Defenders and Kalusha Bwalya one of the talented Footballers in Africa
– Zambia tippped as Afcon favorites , unfortunately lost painfully to Tunisia in the Semi Finals in a dubious manner
– The Copper Bullets went on to win their 3rd and 4th Playoff against Ghana and won their 5th Afcon Medal (Bronze ?)

FROM 1996 ZAMBIA LOST THE GRIP ONLY RESURFACED in the late 2000’s with a quarter final birth at the 2010 Afcon and eventually winning the Afcon Tournament for the first time in 2012.
– Zambia won its 6th Afcon Medal (Gold ?)

WHAT MEASURES ARE NEEDED TO BE PUR IN PLACE? THIS IS A FOOTBALLING NATION THAT IS SINKING SLOWLY AND THE FOOTBALL HOUSE IS NOT DOING ANYTHING AT ALL
