1). Peter Jaja,
Who later became known as Peter Rufai, was once a Goalkeeper of The Nigerian Tide Newspaper Football Club. The open field of GVTC, in D-Line, Aba Rd, was their training ground.

2). David Ngodigha ,
Was Goalkeeper for the famous St. Pius College, (SPC) Bodo, in Ogoni, Rivers State, before playing for Sharks F. C. of Port-Harcourt.

3). Pastor Idah Peterside ,
Was Goalkeeper for Sharks F. C. before been called to the National Team, from where he sojourned to South Africa, and later became a famous TV Sports Commentator, before being called to the Lord’s Pulpit.

4). Imama Kwaku Amapakabo ,
Was also a goalkeeper for Sharks FC, and many clubs, and Nigerias World Cup winning U-17 Team for FIFA maiden Youth tournament in China ’85, sponsored by Kodak/JVC

5). Stanley Bóbó Nwabali,
The current sensation in Super Eagles, use to play as a striker, before being converted to a Goalkeeper at Omoku based Go-Round F.C, and had played locally for
-Enyimba of Aba,
-Lobi Stars of Makurdi,
-Katsina United club,
before heading to South Africa for Chippa United F.C.
He had conceded only one goal to date, as Nigeria soared into the Semis in AFCON
