THE RED CHRISTMAS
CHAPTER 5:DAYS TO ECLIPSE
Inspector Lucas stared at Ada as she stood staring at the Julius Berger bridge in the distance. He was going to give her enough time and space so that she would open up to him.
He felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. Lucas sighed as he turned around to pickup his call. A scream of horror turned him around and he widened his eyes when he couldn’t find Ada where she stood.
Ada smiled slightly as she felt herself sinking.
Finally she would get the long awaited death.
If is ever an afterlife, she would spend it atoning for the sins she doesn’t even know she committed
She would spend it apologizing to the people she unknowingly cut their life short
To the people whose blood is on her shoulders
She would spend it bonding with Lucy.
Most importantly she would be free from the monster…
Never had she wish she would wis for death but now she wanted nothing more she wanted than to die
She closed her eyes as she succumbed to the cold hands of death…
” Beep, beep, beep” Ada woke up to the irritatingly familiar sound of the monitor. She opened her eyes painfully as she stared around her hospital room.
‘what the hell! Who rescued her? Who decided to make her life a living hell! Who!!!’ she grunted angrily.
“Are you alright?” Lucas asked as he sat down beside her bed.
She glared at him angrily before closing her eyes and turned her head to the other side. It was obvious she didn’t want to talk to him.
He stood up and yanked the blanket away from her, raised her to a sitting position and pinned her down with his stares
“You’ve played enough! Now you need to get talking and spill out whatever is going on cuz I’m not goin to put up with your little games anymore!” He yelled at her.
“Now start talking while I’m still being nice else whatever killed all those people is going to come back for you since you’re obviously the only one that witnessed what happened” he threatened again
‘ he’s already after me’ Ada replied in her heart.
“Talk or I’m going to drag you out of here to the torture room and force words out of your mouth!”
She pointed a shaky finger to his phone and he handed it to her
She quickly typed in it and returned it
“Y-y-you can’t talk?” He whispered.
Shit Lucas what have you done!
“I’m sorry I didn’t know. I-i’ll hey you a paper and pen so you can write whatever you witnesses out there and I want nothing but the truth!”
“What? Eclipse? But it came out in the news this morning that there is goin to be an eclipse in three days!”
Ada breathed in sharply as she stared at him with her tear filled eyes
Is my life going to be over in three days? Oh God!
“Hey, hey, calm down ok? You’re going to get out of this. We’ll find answers! You’ll be fine I promised” he soothed her.
Lucas walked out of Ada’s ward to the waiting area and dialed a number on his phone
” Hello sir, I need your help”
“Who is this?” Ada asked Lucas when he entered her ward with a strange looking man with the aid of a paper and pen
“Oh pardon me, this is Mr lekan, he’s a friend of my father’s.
He’s an exorcist and a tracker. We are going to need his help. Papa, this is Ada the lady I told you about” he introduced.
” Young lady, my son has told me about you and your predicament. Now I want you to calm down and give me descriptions about this man or whatever he is”….
