When it comes to Night plan awufs that customers in other Networks like MTN enjoy, you will find out that Airtel users are not left out.
Read on to get details on how to subscribe for Airtel Night browsing plans.
1. What is Airtel Night Plan?
The Airtel Night plan is a subscription done during the midnight (around 12am) to allow Airtel Night plan subscribers have access to the internet with low tariff.
Airtel launched the Airtel Night Plan named SmartTRYBE 2.0 exclusive offer only for Airtel members under the Airtel Smart Trybe package to be able to enjoy high data bundle with as low as N25 starting from 12:00am – 5am.
The Airtel night plan works only for nights, and cannot be used in the daytime. It only works from 12:00 am (Midnight) to 5:00 AM (Morning), absolutely 5 hours. Once it’s 5am, it stops working and cannot be rolled over.
In case, you have seen some posts online showing you how you can get 500MB with just N25. Just know that the post is not yet updated.
Initially with just N25, you can get 500 MB to use for one night from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m., while N200 will get you 1.5 GB on the same conditions.
Airtel made some changes in their Night Plan package.
1. Data was reduced from 500MB to 250MB
2. Their subscription code was changed from *312# to *412#
With just 25 Naira Airtel Smart Trybe members can get 250 MB of data valid from 12 – 5am. This process can be repeated at a maximum of 4 times when previous subscription has been exhausted. That means you can get up to 1 GB data in a day by spending just N100.
2. How to subscribe to Airtel Night Plan: You must be on Airtel Smart Trybe before you can be able to subscribe. But if you are not, don’t worry you can easily migrate to Airtel SmartTRYBE tariff plan by following the steps outlined below:
1. Dial *412# on your mobile phone.
2. Reply with “1” to accept.
Notice: Airtel Night plan code *312# is no longer valid for the night plan subscription. The new code is *412#
If you have a lready migrated to Airtel SmartTrybe, please follow the instruction below:
1. Dial *412# on your mobile phone.
2. Reply with “3” to accept the night browsing (N25 for 250MB. Valid 12-5am).
You will be charged N25 to get the 250MB and you can repeat this process at a maximum of 4 times.
In my opinion, I will say Airtel is better than MTN Night Plan because each MTN SIM is entitle a one-time activation per night while in Aitrel, The Night plan process can be renewed at a maximum of 4 times if exhausted.
