Chapter 27

I got back to the hostel the next morning and was shocked to hear that Gina had decided to change rooms.

"Wetin be her reason?" I asked

"She didn't give a reason but even though we begged her, you know - in case we've offended her unknowingly but she still decided to leave and that was why I was busy calling you yesterday" Philomina said while looking sad but I just smiled

"Why are you smiling?" Jessica asked

"You all should sit down" I said and then I narrated the whole story to them.

"But do you think she saw you while coming out of his office?" Jessica asked

"I can't say for sure" I replied

"This is really not a nice thing to hear. You all have spoilt my day already" Philomina said while standing up to go cook.

"Madam abeg cook better food make we chop. Who no dey no dey" I said while laughing

"We can't come and go and come and kill ourselves, you feel me?" Jessica said sarcastically

And so we all began to joke with each other and laugh and play.

We woke up around some few minutes pass 4pm and then decided to stroll out, just the three of us.

We tried to make sure we enjoy the day and then in between our strolling, we met Gina but she walked pass us as if we never knew each other before.

Although we were all shocked but we kept our cool and instead continued to gist and walk round the school.

While we were walking, we saw the young lecturer from afar off to which I wanted to dodge off but my other side disagreed with that decision and so we passed each other while greeting him normal as we were supposed to.

He had this funny smile around the corner of his lips. I wanted to read meaning to it but then I had no time for that.

We finished our strolling and then went back to the hostel. We ate and then they both carried their phones while I decided to just read a random book.

"Gina, what is this?" Philomina asked after just a little while.

I turned and looked at her. She was holding her phone and was so focused on it.

"What is it?" I asked

She passed the phone to me while Jessica jumped down from her bunk to see for herself.

We all shouted together as the rape incident between me and those three boys had been posted in our department's WhatsApp group chat.
