Chapter 17

"Fuck it!" I said to myself as I picked up my phone and called Eric which to my greatest surprise took less than a second to answer the call.

"You finally called" he said

"Maybe" I said blushing

"How are you?"

"I'm fine I responded but why did you pick the call immediately?" I asked

"Well, I've been waiting for your call ever since I gave you my number"

"For real?"

"I dey fear you to lie for you?" He said and then I laughed

"Oh she is laughing!"

"Nop... I wasn't"

"So, what's up"

"Nothing o but are you busy?"

Suddenly my other side appeared beside me. I turned and looked at her.

"Tell him you want him to escort you to the lecturer office"

I took off the phone from my ears.

"But why?" I asked her

"Well, I want to check something" she said and then she varnished

"Hello!" I said as I returned the phone to my ear

"Why were you quiet?" He asked

"Sorry, was speaking to a friend" I said and then my other side returned again

I took off the phone from my ears again.

"What again?" i asked

"How am I your friend?" She asked

"What the fuck are you talking about again?" I asked because I was beginning to get angry

"I am you and you are me... We are not friends" she laughed and disappeared

I could hear Eric saying "hello... Hello"

"Sorry dear.. I was speaking with a friend" I said as I turned to see whether she will appear again but she didn't

"Well, you were saying something"

"Yes, please can you come accompany me somewhere?" I asked

"Where is that?"

"The young lecturer office"

"Why?"

"Well, I don't want to go alone"

"Ok.. Give me a sec"

He hung up the call.

"When you go...

(I suddenly shouted not minding whether people were around me or not)

Why did you shout?" She asked

"How many times will I tell you to stop appearing out of nowhere?"

"How do you want me to appear?" She asked

"Appear gently. Appear, sit or stand first, let me know you are beside me before you talk. Don't just talk at once

" why?"

"Because you keep freaking me out"

"Ok! So, when you go just behave normal. Don't behave as if you know anything because I really want to check something"

"Ok but where you come from, don't you know how to say sorry when you offend somebody?" I asked her

"When last did you say sorry to someone you wronged" she asked but I couldn't answer because I couldn't remember

"Exactly! You are me and I am you. You don't apologize, so also I don't apologize" she said and varnished

I sighed heavily and then my phone rang.

"Hi!"

",where are you exactly?" Eric asked

"Under the big tree" I replied as he hung up the call

I turned and then I saw him walking majestically to me. Looking handsome, tall, dark skinned, smiling and looking majestic while my heart was filled with joy and my face was blushing already.

He came close, lifted me up and then kissed me.
