Chapter 15

I was surprised when he took me to the school canteen. He located an empty table with two chairs opposite each other. You know how a proper restaurant setting is? That was how the whole place was.

And so he took me by my hand, drew out a chair for me which I was reluctant to sit. He had to use his hands on my shoulder to gently drop me down and then he went to get something for us.

"Oh sorry! I forgot to ask. What would you like to eat or drink?" He came back to ask but I couldn't answer because I was still not myself

"Anything" I said

And so he went away. The guy didn't know what he was doing but in the short time we've met he has broken half of my walls. Don't ask me why it was that easy because I also don't know why it was that easy.

He came back with food and soft drinks. Luckily, I am not the type to select food. My father loved me for thatTbc

"Please feel free to enjoy yourself and you can ask me anything you want to know ok?"

I didn't reply, he just prayed and then began to eat. To really be frank with you guys, it had been long I saw a guy pray before eaten, like prayed well.

I sluggishly began to eat my own without saying a word to him and he was less concern.

"You couldn't even invite me" My other side said but I didn't want to respond so as not to look foolish but she continued to pest me and so I pretended as if a call entered my phone.

Took out my earpiece.

"What were you saying" I asked

"You heard me right"

"Well spirit no dey chop abi?"

"Well pay attention to every detail from now on"

"What do you mean?" I asked

"Just don't be carried away. See beyond his kindness to know whether he is good or not"

"But you told me he is good. Don't rely on what I said, know it for yourself" she said

"Ok comot for my phone" I said as I removed the earpiece

"Sorry, it was my friend and her boyfriend" I said to him

"No problem, just eat your food so that you can go home and rest"

I looked at him with awesomeness shining all over his face.

We finished and then he escorted me to my hostel. We said our goodbyes but while he walked away, I stood there, watching as he took every single step until he was out of my sight.

As I was about to turn, my phone rang and then I saw the name YOUNG LECTURER on my screen.

I became so angry immediately and ended the call.

He called again and then I picked the call. What he said next made me want to strangle him to death.
