Drama in ivory Coast

Funny thing Happened in the U18 Afrobasket Qualifiers in Abidjan, Ivory Coast between Nigeria and Ghana.

Ghana were trailing by 25 points at the of the 3rd quarter and the Ghana team refused to come out for the fourth quarter.

So, it took the intervention of the FIBA officials to find out the problem before Ghana allowed two players to entered the court to play with five Nigeria players already on court waiting. The fourth quarter only lasted for seconds before the officials ended game and Nigeria won by 72-47, the same score line at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Ghana brought only 6 players instead of 12 to the championship and they arrived late despite being a neighbour to host , Ivory Coast.

Bringing 6 players to a basketball tournament means , they only have one reserve player.
