Starting a Vegetable Garden from Scratch
Soil Preparation: Begin in winter for spring planting. Use gloves, spade, rake, hoe, shovel, and fertilizer. Dig, turn soil, remove weeds, and fertilize with compost or horse manure. Level the soil.
Before Sowing: Rework the soil, plan your garden layout, and place seedlings in furrows (spring/summer) or on ridges (winter). Ensure proper spacing.
What to Grow:
Tomatoes: Sunlight, pH 6-7, 30 cm apart, need support.
Zucchini: Sow in spring, 2-3 seeds per hole, 1 meter apart, water daily.
Carrots: Sow January to October, keep moist.
Lettuce: Fertilized soil, daily watering, 8-16 cm deep.
Spinach: Compost-fertilized soil, ample water.
When to Start: Best in spring and summer. Follow specific sowing times for each plant.
