Mike Abayomi Bamiloye is a prominent Nigerian gospel film actor, dramatist, producer, and director. He is an evangelist and the visionary founder and president of Mount Zion Faith Ministries and Mount Zion Television.
Biography
Born on April 13, 1960, in Ilesa, a town in Osun State, southwestern Nigeria, Mike Bamiloye hails from Ijebu-Ijesa in Osun State. He received his training at the Divisional Teachers’ Training College in Ipetumodu, where he began his career. On August 5, 1985, he founded Mount Zion Faith Ministries, a groundbreaking initiative in Christian drama ministry. His debut drama, Hell in Conference, was staged at the National Christian Teachers Conference in 1986 at Ilesa, Osun State. Since then, Bamiloye has featured in, produced, and directed numerous Nigerian gospel films, establishing himself as a leading figure in the genre. In 2020, a movie detailing his early life and the beginnings of his ministry was released in honor of his 60th birthday.
Personal Life
Mike Bamiloye is married to Gloria Bamiloye, a Nigerian film actress and evangelist. The couple, who wed on October 8, 1988, have two sons—Damilola Mike-Bamiloye, a Christian filmmaker and producer, and Joshua Mike-Bamiloye—and a daughter, Darasimi Gomba-Oyor. They are also proud grandparents to four grandchildren.
